3 Profitable Principles of Marketing - And How to Make Them Pay Off

If I could lay out the simplest explanation possible, of the exact principles of marketing products, I would boil it down to these 3 'truths' of internet marketing- or any marketing actually:

1. Sell a product that will convert
2. Look for products that eliminate everyday problems
3. And then follow through, everytime, with your business plan

It sounds simple, but:

a) There is a little more to it

b) Following through is harder than we think sometimes

How do i know if a product converts? How do I know what problems need to be solved? Where do I start?

Common questions , no doubt. But being able to answer all of them and follow through as well , is what seperates the men from the boys. Obviously the answer to the first 2 questions is , Research. The last question can be answered a few different ways. And it usually is answered differently most of the time.

Keeping track of current events and the latest trends is one way of 'listening' for the next big problem. Sometimes we dont have time, or maybe we are keeping an eye open, but nothing is catching. So we have to start looking for our next big project.

Quick and Easy Way To Find Your Next Niche

1. Check out Amazon or Google Trends- See whats hot
2. Go to related forums to find out what topics people are talking about
3. Look for questions about problems and advice
4. Find an affiliate product that fits the solution
5. Come up with 3 long tail keyphrases for the problem or product
6. Create 3 Articles related to the Keyphrases
7. Submit articles -Make sure you submit the first one to one of the top ranked article directories(Ezine is good)
8. Create a free blog, designed around the keyphrases. Post articles to the blog. Link them back to ezine articles.
9. Create a Squidoo Lenz. Post more articles on squidoo, link them back to ezine.( Do this AFTER the blog is up)
10. Write more articles, submit them to the rest of the good article directories. YEP - link 'em back to ezine articles.
11. Lastly, Social Bookmark everything.

You have maximized your long tail keyphrase, in turn you have created backlinks for the ezine article , and in the end you have created all around exposure for your blog. Don't forget, you can always amp this up a bit with some article software. Like an article submitter or an article spinner.

This sounds easy, but if you don't take action, it might as well be brain surgery. Try it out, remember, use research. Find the long tail keyphrases that you think will get traffic. Use Google Keyword external.

This might be long, But you WILL know how to pick a profitable niche. SO READ IT!

Should I Exploit This Niche? Thats the question. Answer that and your work is not in vain. AND..you might make some money. But unfortunately I, nor anyone else can tell you which niche to choose, but rather help you to determine whether a niche can be profitable. 

For you to find a niche it will take a little guess work and some common sense discovery. I can say that if you use Clickbank , you can look at things like Gravity and popularity. Also , check out the Sales pages.

Would you buy the product? Does the sales page excite you? You can also check out resources like Google Zeitgeist to see what people are currently searching for. Check out Lycos and Yahoo Buzz as well. Another resource to keep track of is Amazon. See what the most popular sellers are.(You can click on the "bestseller" link) Skim over these resources if you need a few ideas. See what is currently listed at the tops of these lists and sites. See whats commonly searched for. 

After you have and idea or 2, here is how to determine: If the niche is profitable Which keywords you can profit with Which products you should sell And how to rank with the selected keywords Researching Keywords This is not going to be the same old guru , in depth , take all day, research method. 

This is gonna be your quick time niche keyword research method. Nail this down, and you will be able to identify solid niches and keywords , without using too much of your valuable time. Just make sure you follow this method EXACTLY the way its presented. Its crucial to your success.  

Step 1 Go to EzineArticles.com. Find the Ezine Search box. Enter a relative keyword from your niche. Try something a little longtail.  

Now, open up the first article that is listed. Place the mouse pointer anywhere within the article, Rightclick, and you will see a list of options pop up.
